HIKER TRASH: Notes, Sketches and Other Detritus from the Appalachian Trail (Mountaineers Books, 2019) is a collage of long distance backpacking culture, offering a glimpse of an off-beat community through a collection of illustrations of trail shelters, photographs by Nicholas Reichard, and excerpts from hiker shelter logs collected from the archives of the Potomac Appalachian Trail Club. Drawings from this project have been shown in Philadelphia at Paradigm Gallery, Land Collective, and the Schuylkill Center for Environmental Education.
