HIKER TRASHBook and Exhibit | 2017-2019
HIKER TRASH: Notes, Sketches and Other Detritus from the Appalachian Trail is a book project illustrating my experience consecutively hiking 2,200 miles from Georgia to Maine. HIKER TRASH is a collage of long distance backpacking culture, offering a glimpse of an off-beat community through a collection of my illustrations of trail shelters, photographs by Nicholas Reichard, and excerpts from hiker shelter logs collected from the archives of the Potomac Appalachian Trail Club. This title was published by Mountaineers Books in 2019.
Drawings from this project have been shown in Philadelphia at Paradigm Gallery, Land Collective, and the Schuylkill Center for Environmental Education.
